I have been out of the loop this month. December was filled to the brim with preparing for Christmas, family and I suffered a massive sinus infection that resulted in a ruptured eardrum. Aside from the ear injury, this Christmas was wonderful. Our sweet baby girl, who by the way is two going on thirteen, was a joy! E saw Santa, and with sobs and tears, mustered up enough courage to yell out what she wanted for Christmas. She became fond of the various yard decorations in the neighborhood, and was sad to see them miss shape on the ground during the day. She decorated the tree just so, and sang jingle bells at the top of her lungs! She learned the word “mine!” but also learned that it is fun to give presents as well. She marveled at the presentation of the milk, cookie and carrots for Santa and his reindeer. And she listened and laughed at my reenactment of the Christmas story, with her nativity play set. We had a great time and I hope you had a very Merry Christmas as well!
