I have seen some of these illustrations here and there, but really did not know much about the artist. Last night I came across This is M. Sasek. It is a website dedicated to the artist, author, and illustrator of the This is children's books, Miroslav Sasek. The first book, This is Paris, was published in 1959 with many others following.
